Agriculture is the prime source of wealth in Bihar and is the key to the overall development of the state economy. Bihar has a total geographical area of about 93.60 lakh hectare out of which 56.03 lakh hectares is the net cultivated area. Government’s policies and programmes aimed at achieving rapid agricultural growth through optimum utilization of land, water, soil and plant resources of the Bihar farming community through agriculture extension services. It is against this backdrop CII organised the 7th edition of Agro Bihar 2017 in association with Department of Agriculture – Government of Bihar, an unique platform for Pre and Post-Harvest Technologies, from 22 – 25 February 2017 at Patna, Bihar.
